The only thing we have complete autonomy over is ourselves, so why not own it and become something you have always dreamed of being.
Andrew Fitzpatrick
is a New York City-based performer & choreographer from Rochester, NY. From a young age, he has been engaging in dance as a means of connecting with others, using it to establish common ground with other dancers across all boundaries. After graduating from Webster Schroeder High School, he was admitted to New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance.
During his time there he dove headfirst into his choreographic endeavors and premiered 15 works in the Jack Crystal Theater. He also got the opportunity to choreograph 3 Off-Broadway shows: Cabaret, Spring Awakening, and Amélie. Throughout his time in college, he noticed a greater importance of empathy as a facilitator for connection with others, especially in moments of vulnerability such as partnering.
His mission in life is to imbue the world with empathy because, to him, that is the only way to form genuine connections with other people, to understand other perspectives and begin the process of healing previous trauma.
When the world opens and becomes more empathetic, we can create a world that is truly safe for everyone, where everyone can be themselves, can be open about who they are, and feel appreciated for their differences, instead of simply defined by them.
